Casting Workshops
As a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor, I take great pride in my casting workshops. My goal is to
teach you the theory behind fly casting, show you the basic movements of the cast and help you to understand how
theory and movement work together to form the perfect cast. My teaching style is geared towards casting and fishing
faster.
I have taught casting lessons from Texas to Michigan, from Singapore to the Bahamas, and I have the skills to get you
started on the right foot.
Along with individual casting lessons, we can handle groups as large as 25 people, making us ideal for your business retreat,
family reunion or club outing. Let us know what you need and we will custom design a program for you.
Fly Tying Workshops
Fly tying is one of my favorite aspects of the sport. Nothing matches the thrill of having a fish fall prey to a fly you tiedan
experience you never forget. All my fly tying workshops are designed to teach you the basic skills needed to tie durable and
productive flies. I teach techniques, not just patterns, so when you finish one of my workshops you will have the skills to analyze
hundreds of flies and figure out how to tie them.
Hill Country Flyfishers offers individual and group fly tying lessons. We have enough vises and tools to teach classes of up to 20.
With over 20 years teaching fly tying, Išm sure we can give you the skills needed to become a great fly tier.
Fly Fishing Workshops
After you have taken a fly casting lesson and tied a few flies, you might want to take one of my fly fishing workshops. Held on
different rivers in the Hill Country, they are a great way to put you or your groupšs newly learned skills into practice on the water
